E-Bike Day Tour Kaštela Highlights

Join us on our bike tour through Kaštela and see this small town from a new perspective! Feel the vibe of the small coastal town, before approaching the climb up Mt. Kozjak.

This magnificent mountain rises high above the the Bay of Kaštela and stretches along the coast, offering spectacular views all the way from Split to Trogir. Out to sea you can even see the island of Brač on a clear day!

Our aim is not to just tell you the stories of the seven castles, but to show them to you! This dynamic tour inites all the charms of Dalmatia: the sea, olives, heritage, mountains, stone and the raw beauty that leaves everyone wanting more!

Discover a picturesque coastal town and pure nature in one

The meeting point for the tour is the Cycle Croatia Bike Centre in Kaštel Stari where you will meet your guide, and receive your bicycles. From here a short descent will bring us directly to the sea and the centre of Kaštel Stari which serves as an introduction into the histroy of Kaštela.

During the first part of the tour we will stay close to the sea to give you the opportunity to get used to your bicycle. Along the way you will hear about the beginnings of Kaštela and also learn about the tragic love story of Miljenko and Dobrila, the local Romeo and Julliet. Of course we will not miss a stop in Kaštel Gomilica which, as you may recognise on your visit, was used as the location for the City of Bravos in the series Game of Thrones.

From here we will approach our big climb of the day, up Mt. Kozjak, which, thanks to our E-bikes, we will master with a smile on our faces. Bit by bit the view across the length of the Bay of Kaštela will become visible to us and we’ll continue cycling along an undulating gravel road heading West. Along the way we take time to tell you more about Kaštela and it’s inhabitants. Olive gardens, fig plantations as well as slopes covered in the local grape vine, Crljenak Kaštelanski (Zinfandel), will continuously remind us of our mediterranean surroundings. Several speedy descents will keep our spirits and pulses high!

Our last climb will take us to the viewpoint at the small church of st. Onofrio after wich we will also ejoy our last descent to the coast and the fort Nehaj. From here we will also visit the oldest lady of Kaštela – a 1500 year old olive tree – before rolling easily, a bit along the sea, a bit through the narrow alleys back to the Bike Centre where we finish the tour.

This tour is available all year round and can be requested for any day of the week. A minimum of 4 participants is required.

Good to know
This tour is a moderate to advanced tour with several climbs and descents on uneven and loose terrain. Confident control of the bicycle is therefore presupposed.
