Family e-bike day tour Labinci – Višnjan – Baredine – Parenzana Farini – Labinci (25 km/300 m of elevation)

Fun and exercise for the whole family! This special family tour starts at our newly opened Bike Center Labinci. On this family friendly tour we will explore the wonderful Istrian hinterland on e-bikes, visiting the picturesque village of Visnjan, cycling past olive groves and vineyards and grazing Boskarin cattle. The tour also covers a stretch of the famous Parenzana Trail.

This tour is offered on request all year round on any day of the week  with a minimum number of 3 participants. The duration of the tour is approx. 4 hours.

The starting point of this lovely family tour is our new Bike Center in Labinci (Labinci 143). On request, we are happy to organise a free transfer between your accommodation and the Bike Centre (up to 10km distance, min. 3 participants).

At 10 am we will start with a safety briefing for the tour, an entry level bike briefing and explain the local traffic rules. The tour can then begin along undulating, low traffic roads.

We start by heading in a south-east direction, following the local road to Visnajn. Our tour leads us through Visnajn, a picturesque Istrian village which rests on a hill at 244 m; our highest point of the tour. Our bike ride then continues through beatiful, Tuscan-esque landscapes along quiet rural roads to Bacva. Along the ride we should be able to see the local Istrian Boskarin oxen grazing on meadows on the road side.

From Bacva, we will continue our ride to Nova Vas, through the beautiful Istrian countryside. Rich red soil, vinyards and olive groves interupted by dense woodlands characterise the landscape.

On arrival in Nova Vas, we enjoy a short break near the entrance of the Baedine Caves. We will have time to visit the souvenir shop, to take photos and to drink a beverage in this wonderful setting.

Following the break, our tour continues along a 5 km portion of the famous Parenzana Railway track, past the Stacjon Kobona, once a railway station for the Parenzana train. The path leads us back to the local road to Labinci, past Visnajn and untimately back to the starting point of our tour: the Bike Center Labinici.

This tour is offered on request all year round on any day of the week with a minimum number of 3 participants. The duration of the tour is approx. 4 hours. Altogether, we will cycle 25km with a total elevation gain of approx. 300m.

Please bring the following:

• Money for drinks or souvenirs
• Medicine if you are allergic or asthmatic
• Sportswear and sturdy footwear, and if necessary, a jersey or a T-shirt to change as well as a wind or rain jacket 

Good to know
This tour is a moderate bike tour with some ups and downs. A basic level of fitness as well as the safe control of a bicycle are therefore required.
