Limes Bike Tour in Vrsar, Istira: An amateur cycling event in a class of its own!

Among the many amateur cycling races held on the Istrian Peninsular, the Limes Bike Tour, organised by the Tourist Association of Vrsar, is gaining ever more significance. Though this event is primarily intended for families with children, it is open to participants of all ages.

The tour begins on the Vrsar promenade with a large section of the route leading through the Kontija forest. A stop above the Pirate Cave on the Limfjord slopes is an absolute must, as it offers an incredible, breath-taking view and is also the perfect place to take some stunning photos. All participants will be offered lunch at the hunting lodge (Lovačka Kuća) in the protected Kontija forest.

Reaching the finish line doesn’t mean the day must come to an end. A raffle for all participants as well as an exciting music and entertainment programme is on offer after the race.

The Limes Bike Tour follows a gravel road so mountain bikes are best suited for the conditions; however, the tour is also possible by trekking or e-bike.
